Not really into the spotlight? Want to keep things relaxed with a simple ceremony at home or in a local park, then celebrate with a glass of champagne and your nearest and dearest? Or perhaps you’d like to get legally married now and save the big party for later. Once upon a time you could head down to the courthouse (or Vegas!), but now an independent celebrant is required to make it official. Think of this option as a registry office wedding — just without the stuffy setting. This package includes: * A straightforward, scripted “registry-style” ceremony in your backyard or a local park. Within 10km of my home (Cambridge). * A great option for elopements or short-notice weddings. * Email and phone support from the time you book through to your big day no in person meeting prior to the day. * Full professional delivery and legal oversight of your ceremony on the day. * It must take place on a weekday (Monday to Friday) between 9am and 5pm. Ceremonies can’t be held on public holidays.

Booking Policy – Laura B Marriage Celebrant Thank you for choosing me to be part of your special day. Please read the key booking terms below: Bookings & Payment * A non-refundable booking fee of $200 secures your date and time. * The balance is due 30 days before the ceremony. Cancellations & Postponements * If you cancel, the booking fee is non-refundable. * If cancelled within **30 days of the wedding**, 50% of the total fee is payable. * If you postpone, the booking fee can be transferred to a new date (subject to availability). * If I need to cancel due to illness or emergency, all fees (including the booking fee) will be refunded, or I’ll help you find another registered celebrant. Legal Requirements * You must apply for and provide a valid **marriage license** from Births, Deaths & Marriages (valid for 90 days). Travel & Extra Costs * Travel within 30 km of Cambridge is included. Beyond this, travel is charged at $1 per km, plus any required accommodation or transport. * Rehearsals, extra meetings, or additional script changes may incur extra charges. Ceremony & Conduct * Ceremony details should be finalised at least 7 days before the wedding. * Please start on time — delays over 30 minutes may affect delivery. * I reserve the right to withdraw services if unsafe, or if anyone behaves in an aggressive or unlawful way. Media * Photographers and videographers are welcome, provided they don’t interfere with the legal parts. * I may request permission to use photos or video of me at your ceremony for promotional purposes, but only with your consent.
